Therefore, the best way to make a cherry cake from scratch is just to follow these instructions.

One and a half cups of icing sugar

3/4 cup salted butter seasoned with salt

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup cream cheese

A single egg

4 egg whites in the batter

2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Four tablespoons of baking powder

One-quarter cup of milk

Maraschino cherry juice made using 1/2 cup of cherry juice

1/2 cup chopped red candied cherries

One and a half cups of softened butter

Icing sugar 12 cups

A ½ cup maraschino cherry juice on hand

Add maraschino cherries for decoration

1. Set the oven to 350°F. Coat the inside of three 8-inch round cake pans with nonstick cooking spray.

2. Cream the butter and sugar in a large bowl, beating on medium speed for approximately 4-5 minutes. Incorporate the vanilla and sour cream into the batter to incorporate well.

3. In two batches, add the egg and egg whites to the bowl, then stir vigorously until everything is well combined.

4. Take two separate bowls. In one bowl, mix the flour and baking powder. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl. Beginning with the maraschino cherry juice and milk, add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Also, don’t stir after the first addition. Scrape your dish occasionally, and mix just until everything is mixed together without over-stirring.

5. Put the chopped maraschino cherries in the mixture.

6. Then divide your prepared cake batter into two cake pans. Let the cakes bake in the pans for 15-20 minutes. Then use a wooden skewer to test the middle of each cake. The cakes are made if the skewer comes out clean.

7. Place it on a wire rack and let the cake cool completely.

1. Beat the butter in a large bowl until fluffy.

2. Continue to whisk the mixture until it is light and fluffy. Stir in 3 tablespoons of the maraschino cherry juice and beat again to fully integrate.

3. Then add 4 cups of icing sugar and stir in 2 teaspoons of cherry maraschino juice.

4. Mix the remaining 4 cups of powdered sugar with a few tablespoons of cherry juice until the frosting is creamy and has a slight stiffness.

Assembling the Cake:

1. Once all of the cake is cooled, remove the rough top of the cake.

2. Carefully put 1 1/2 cups of the frosting over the bottom layer of the cake and place it on a cake plate. Next, repeat the process with another 1 1/2 cups of frosting and the second piece of cake.

3. Finally, top the cake with the remaining frosting to the top and sides of the cake. Make sure to save approximately 1 cup for applying to the cake’s top.

 4. Add maraschino cherries and dress with maraschino cherry syrup

5. Cut the cake into slices and serve
